About the Weekly Satsangh

Yogacharini Maitreyi and the Arkaya team bring you an opportunity to connect with lightness & restfulness from the comfort of your home. The class begins with a centering practice invoking healing, illumination and reconnection to ourselves led by Arkaya founder, Yogacharini Maitreyi.

Next, one of the Arkaya teacher’s leads a gentle, mindful, embodied awareness practice on the mat that introduces classical tools and principles used to seamlessly integrate one's different dimensions of existence.

This is followed by a contemplative talk and Q&A led by Yogacharini Maitreyi. Each week, a practice or theme is discussed for a deeper understanding of trantric and yogic principles.

The satsangh often concludes with some kirtan / mantra. There is also time for sharing, connection and community building.

We often have guest presenters speaking on the classical Indian life sciences and various psycho-spiritual themes.

Your Instructor

Yogacharini Maitreyi

Yogacharini Maitreyi is a practical Mystic and the founder of Arkaya Awareness Center and Arkaya Foundation - Arkaya. She has been immersed in the yogic life since her early childhood in India, where she has received the titles Yoga Chemmal (expert), Yoga Shiromani (gem), and Yoga Acharini (guide). Her heart sings to see lives blossom into consciousness. She has been teaching the deeper dimensions holistic Yoga and Tantra in India and across the world for over 26 years. In 2007, Maitreyi was one of the youngest people to be invited onto the board of the World Yoga Council in Europe. She has published more than 100 articles and poems in Indian and international publications and was formerly the weekly Yoga columnist for The Hindu, South India’s largest news daily.

She has taught a wide variety of people, from Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka, prisoners in Sweden, an all Islamic group in Bangladesh, yoga teachers in Vancouver to children and CEOs in India and internationally. She brings a calm and lightness to the teachings & classes and encourages people to tap into play.

The Arkaya school is now fully online and Maitreyi leads a number of drop-in and intensive programs, including a 500-hour self-awareness and healing teacher training accessible to people worldwide. This is a self awareness and self discovery program, spread over 2 years for better assimilation. She also facilitates teacher trainings in India.

When does the course start and finish?

The live Community Class & Satsangh takes place every Saturday from 9 - 11 AM PST on Zoom. The recordings can be viewed at your own pace & pleasure here on Teachable. If you signed up for the Monthly Membership, your access continues month by month until you cancel the membership. The membership will automatically renew each month unless you cancel it. If you signed up for the Annual Membership, your access continues year by year until you cancel the membership. The membership will automatically renew annually unless you cancel it.

How long do I have access to the course?

For the duration of your membership - monthly or yearly - until you cancel it.

What if I am unhappy with the course?
