EXPERIENTIAL PRACTICUM HOURS 

We recommend you complete the 20-hour experiential practicum within 3 months. However, you are welcome to go at any pace that suits you. If you do not wish to receive the certificate of completion, you will not be required to complete the practicum.

If you are looking for guidance on what to teach and how to approach teaching, please refer back to the Arkaya Foundational Sequence Document from Segment 11 of this program. That gives you all of the groundwork for teaching well. You can also refer to the Yoga Bija - Foundational Principles document in Segment 1.

Both of these documents, like all others in this program are downloadable. Please download them, and even print them off for yourself to have in a binder as a reference.

To graduate from the program and receive your Certificate of Completion, please fulfill the following requirements:

1. 10 hours of sharing simple practices and tools with family members, friends and/or work associates. This can be done in-person, via video call or phone.  (e.g. facilitating short segments of 20 mins on the mat or on a chair)
2. 10 hours of seva (selfless service / volunteering) (e.g a small fundraiser for Arkaya Foundation)
3. Record the following information to document your practicum and to submit to the Arkaya Faculty: date, time, length of session, name of student(s), your own notes and student feedback.
4. Submit your completed practicum hours and notes to infoarkaya@gmail.com with Practicum: Foundations for Life in the subject heading.

THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN TO PARTICIPANTS OF ALL LEVELS. THE PRACTICES ARE BOTH GENTLE AND DEEP AND WILL HELP YOU ABSORB THE YOGA LIFE.
